Effective sleep solutions are available to anyone who suffers from any type of sleep disorder. As part of our effective sleep solutions this article will answer some of the questions that you may have.

Are you aware that you will spend almost one third of your life sleeping? During the time our body is awake the nerve cells constantly active become more or less fatigued. This is why you may need a nap some times during the day. Sleep gives the body cells a chance to throwing out the waste and the opportunity to repair themselves. To insure a recovery period from such fatigue, we undergo the periodic loss of consciousness known as sleep. Sleep is a very important function, and though we may put off going to sleep, it will eventually take over.

Necessity and importance of Sleep

Sleep is a usual and necessary part of our survival and having a good sleep solution plan is essential to brain function. As each person rests, the body rejuvenates, so that it will be ready to function properly the next day. What happens when you body gets too much or too little sleep. The brain causes stress on the body and you become easily irritated and grumpy. When you sleep you are giving your body a mini-vacation. Sleep also gives your brain a chance to sort things out. Although it is not known what functions take place in the brain while you are sleeping, it is believed that this is the time that the brain sorts and store information, replace chemicals or corrects imbalances, and solves problems in the body.
Sleep is a type of unconsciousness state, and is essential to good health. It refreshes the body and the mind, and helps the body heal from trauma of the day. If you get enough sleep regularly every night you will feel and work better.

Sleep effectiveness

Sleeping and waking are part of your internal clock controlled by your brain. How much sleep should a person get each night? The amount of sleep a person needs depends a lot on his or her age. As an example babies sleep about 14-15 hours, while older people need only 7-8 hours each night. Most kids between the ages of 5 and 12 years old somewhere in between need 10 to 11 hours of sleep. Some kids might need more and some need less. However, can we have less than 8 hours of sleep? Find out more!

It depends on the individual. Some people need a great deal of sleep, while others require only a minimum of sleep. The individual needs to get the amount of sleep necessary to feel alert, healthy, and totally fit. If an individual is dragging during the night then he needs to get more sleep. Some people may require more sleep due to their circadian rhythm and their metabolism. Their body processes may require more time, so they may need more sleep to rest and restore their body.

Skipping one night’s sleep can make a person irritable and inept. Once a person misses two nights of sleep, that person will have problems thinking and doing things. The brain can no longer do their normal tasks as well. After five nights without sleep, a person will hallucinate. Eventually, it becomes impossible for the brain to give its directions to the rest of the body without sleep.

The amount of sleep not only affects your mortality but also your personality. Some people are by nature long sleepers, and some are short sleepers. Studies show that people, who tend to sleep longer, tend to be more introverted and creative. People who require less sleep tend to be more extroverted and concrete.

Whether or not you are a long sleeper or a short one, getting too few hours of sleep can make one cranky and less energetic, which the majority of people have probably experienced. Continual lack of sleep can lead to mental issues such as depression, deprive one of thinking clearly, and hinder the quality of work.

Recorded brain waves have helped in the study of the different stages of sleep. The studies have indicated that there are four stages of sleep that occur in cycles each lasting about ninety minutes.

When you first fall asleep, your brain waves will slow down, as you become more relaxed. As you experience the third stage your body and mind become more unaware of the world outside. The fourth stage is the deepest stage in the cycle known as Rapid eye movement, which is the stage in which most people dream. After ten or more minutes of REM sleep, the sleep cycle repeats. This goes on all through the night at least three or four times. During REM sleep, not only do your eyes move around quickly, your heart rate increases, and your automatic body processes speed up. These periods last about twenty minutes a stretch and occur four or five times during the night, alternating between REM sleep and non-REM sleep. During this time your body functions slow down and you get your deepest sleep.

Myths of Sleep

If you sleep longer, you’ll be more awake and have more energy in your life. Getting more sleep than your body needs actually will rob you of energy and damage your effective sleeping patterns. If your body sleeps longer than it needs to you put stress on a number of other factors such us your melatonin hormone levels, your exposure to sunlight, and your body temperature rhythm.

Sleeping for longer than normal periods of time or trying to catch up on sleep only weakens your effective sleep system, which in turn can lower your immune system.

You need to Catch Up on Sleep that you have missed. Unless you have not slept for several days, there is no need to catch up on sleep. During the first 3 – 4 hours of sleep is when we experience most of State 3 and Stage 4 sleep. Sleeping longer than you usually do is not beneficial in anyway.
I feel low on energy; I must not be getting enough sleep. Quantity is not the answer here, quality is. People have a tendency to think that sleep is a very basic thing. The truth is that sleep is actually quite a complex system that most of us take for granted. Due to the fact that most people do not understand how our inner sleep system works, we aren’t aware of the actions being taking that are damaging our effective sleep systems and patterns that are depriving us of energy.

Binaural sleep meditation is a simple technique that combines binaural beats and relaxing sounds to help you experience a great night’s sleep. Decades of scientific research have shown that binaural beats can be used to tune our brainwave frequency into an extremely relaxed state that easily allows us to achieve a sound, restful night’s sleep.

Binaural beat recordings have come in handy in most aspects of my life, including during my work, sleep and even when I am working out at the gym.

How Do Binaural Beats Work?

Your brain waves are controlling how you think and respond to every stimulus you are experiencing right now and they are either aligned in a state of learning, relaxation or energy or they are ‘switched off’ in the other direction. When you listen to different frequency sounds, you can change your mental state to help you do whatever you want to faster.

How Are Binaural Beats Helping Me In My Life?

1. Improved My Concentration

This is the biggest reason I use these audio recordings. As I need to write a lot, they have been useful in helping me focus my mind more quickly and make me less distracted. As a result, I find that I have been able to complete my work faster ever since I started using binaural beats.

2. Improved Motivation

These binaural audios have the ability to make my brainwave frequencies align to make me very productive and energetic. Whenever I don’t feel like doing anything, but I need to get some work done, I would always use one of the audio files I have called Maximum Motivation to get me started. Within 5 to 10 minutes, I become highly motivated to start doing what I needed to do.

3. Relaxied Your Mind

Binaural beats can slow down your brain waves into more relaxing frequencies like Alpha, Theta and Delta. Listen to it to let your mind enter a relaxed state, especially when you need to rest.

Delta and Theta Beats Try Binaural Delta and Theta Beats to Get Your Mind in Sleep ModeSleep Naturally with Binaural Delta and Theta Beats

If you need help falling asleep, brain entrainment may be just the solution that you are looking for. Brain entrainment is the process of using outside sonic stimuli to help your brain re-learn how to sleep. The theory is that insomnia is, in part, a learned behavior. With binaural beats you can reach the theta and delta brainwaves which can help you sleep.

Binaural beats can influence your brain function. Theta brain waves are the state that your brain is in when you are dreaming or are in deep meditation. It’s also the REM sleep cycle that is so important to your body’s recovery. Theta brainwaves are measured at 4 to 7 Hz. Delta brain waves are below 4 Hz. It is deep dreamless sleep where you lose body awareness completely.

By using binaural beats you can help train your brain to go into the deep sleep state that you need. Binaural beat technology was discovered in 1839 and is still studied to this day because of its powerful effects. By listening to binaural recordings, you can help your brain reach those lower frequencies and you can peacefully fall asleep. The recordings are used with headphones to deliver two different audio streams to your ears (hence the term binaural). Your mind works to merge the sounds which will change your brain waves.

If you’re interested in binaural beats, there are several different options you can choose from. There are binaural CDs that you can listen to on a regular basis to change your brain frequency. You can also download MP3 audio files. It’s very important that you use headphones with binaural beats to get the right effects. As you listen to the beats, let your mind flow. Don’t pay attention to your thoughts. Let them come and go as you listen. Within just a little bit of time, your brain will start to regulate the tones and you’ll begin to fall asleep.

What is Brain Entrainment or Brainwave Synchronization?

brainwave synchronization What is Brain Entrainment or Brainwave Synchronization? How Does Brainwave Synchronization Work?

Brain Entrainment or Brainwave Synchronization is a way of training your brain muscle. Just like we train our body with physical exercises, we could train our brains with specially created audio sounds.

Brain cells are called neurons and communicate with each other through electrical impulses. These electrical impulses have a wave length which is commonly referred to as Brainwaves.

Brainwaves could be measured by an EEG monitor and is quoted in Hertz. There are four basic types of brain waves.

1. Beta Brainwaves- is measured between 14-20Hz and associated with normal waking consciousness. This is where we spend most of our day. Beta brainwaves are available when we are focused on outside activity.

2. Alpha Brainwaves- is measured between 8-13Hz and associated with light meditation, a focused but relaxed state of mind. They are abundant when you are in a reverie or when you day dream. This state is conducive for intense levels of concentration. Alpha Brainwave Entrainment is ideal for super learning states.

3. Theta Brainwaves- is measured between 4-7Hz and associated with deep meditative states or dreaming sleep stages. This is a great stress reliever. In this state the body releases endorphins, which helps to relax and melt away stress and anxiety.

4. Delta Brainwaves- is measured below 3Hz and associated with deep dreamless sleep and very deep states of meditation.

The lower we could keep our brainwaves, the better it will be for our health and happiness. All our emotions and states of being are always related to our brainwave activity at that particular moment.

Meditation is a tool that is being commonly used to lower our brainwaves and get in to a relaxed comfortable state of mind and body. As you know meditation has been proved to have immense benefits to our health and happiness.

But did you know that Brain Entrainment or Brainwave Synchronization could be used instead of meditation and much more effectively for that matter? Alpha Brainwave Entrainment or any other Brain wave Training could be used to achieve this end.

So if we could artificially induce specially crafted sounds from outside, our brainwaves start to synchronize to these sounds and lower their frequencies according to the induced sounds. This is the basics of Brain Entrainment or Brainwave Synchronization.

Brainwave Entrainment has untold benefits, than health wise. It could be used to clear limiting beliefs, get rid of stress and anxiety, it makes you calm and relaxed, it could help to attract wealth and abundance and so forth. It could be used to reduce the time we take to meditate in half. For example just listening to a Brain Entrainment or Brainwave Synchronization CD for 30 minutes a day is more than enough to compensate for meditating for 2-3 hours a day.

Brain wave training is equivalent to deep meditation which is not easy to achieve just by meditating for 2-3 hours a day.
